Openly gay Christian rocker Trey Pearson is blasting Indiana Governor Mike Pence and proclaiming his support for Hillary Clinton.

Pearson, lead singer of the band Everyday Sunday, stated after this week’s vice presidential debate: ‘Gov. Pence got one thing right last night – society will be judged by how it deals with its most vulnerable.

‘Too bad he’s built a career on marginalizing the least among us, and is a part of a campaign founded on the oppression of women, LGBT individuals and people of color.

‘If we do not believe in hate, name calling or bullying, we should not vote for it'

Last year, Donald Trump’s running mate signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law allows businesses and individuals in Indiana to deny services to LGBTI people.

Pearson had lived in the closet for 32 years, got married and fathered two children.

Then in May he announced that he is gay with simple message on Facebook: ‘To my fans and friends: I’m finally being honest with myself. I love you all.’

Pearson has already paid a professional price for being open about who he is and for speaking out.
He was dropped last month from the Joshua Fest Christian music festival in Northern California where he and his band had played many times before.

Organizers said 11 of the 14 members of the festival’s production team threatened to walk out if he performed and there was no time to replace them.

Pearson went to the festival anyway as a spectator and without any pre-publicity, the band Five Iron Frenzy invited him onstage to perform their final number with them.
