In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the Drag Race set, the star shared his feelings about the ongoing presidential election debate in the US, and he didn’t hold back.

He said: “A person who gets into politics is a different animal… all politicians are pretty dirty. If you’re in politics you’re dirty, it’s not a bad thing, it’s just the way it is. It’s the way the game is played.

“So if you think that somebody’s going to go to Washington and be Mary Poppins with butterflies and rainbows and unicorns, and everyone’s going to be nice – that’s not how this is played.”

He reminded viewers to make sure they register and vote in the election on 8 November, pointing out that “if you don’t vote, you lose your right to complain.”

And if you had any doubt about who Ru will be voting for this year, he once again took the time to praise “badass” Hillary Clinton, highlighting her perseverance to get this far in the male-dominated world of politics.

He said: “Any woman or minority who’s pushed aside by society, for them to make it ahead in any industry is an act of badassness, because there’s so much stacked against you in a white male dominated culture.”

It’s not the first time he’s sung Hillary’s praises – in an interview earlier this year, he called the Democrat a “badass bitch who knows how to get shit done”.
