Hillary Clinton campaigned at an LGBT nightclub in Florida over the weekend.
31st October 2016

She said: “We’ll work together to achieve the AIDS-free generation that is within our reach, and we will take on homelessness, bullying, and violence, particularly youth homelessness, which disproportionately hurts LGBT kid.
“And we are going to end the harmful practice of so-called conversion therapy. LGBT kids don’t need to be cured of anything, they just need to be accepted, and embraced, and respected.
“And yes, we’re going to bring people together to reform our gun laws and keep guns from falling into the wrong hands so that what happened in Orlando can never happen again.”
Hillary also warned voters about Republican opponent Donald Trump’s views on LGBT rights, arguing: “This election will determine whether we continue the progress we’ve made or let it be ripped away.
“We know Trump has promised that he’ll appoint Supreme Court justices who will overturn marriage equality and that he will repeal President Obama’s executive actions to protect LGBT people from discrimination.
“Make no mistake – LGBT rights are at stake. Dignity and respect for every American is at stake.”

In
a speech earlier today, Hillary Clinton made clear why she's the most
pro-equality presidential candidate on the ballot. Hillary will fight
for the Equality Act and work for the expansion and protection of rights
for LGBTQ people in America and around the globe. We're with her
because she's with us and our HRC volunteers and supporters are more
fired up than ever to #turnOUT the vote!
