Living Positive – HIV+

Living Positive – HIV+

Learning to live with HIV as with any illness is a new experience in anyone’s life.
No matter what your mind tells you, YOU are NOT alone.
You are NOT the only one who is going through a similar situation.
The most important thing to remember is – DO NOT GIVE UP!!

All too often people decide they have been handed a “Death” sentence,
so they just give up on life. When you start down this path, it is a hard path
to turn away from. Self doubt, loathing, hating yourself, regretting, unforgiveness,
bitterness, depression and so on start taking over to the point that you feel life is
just not worth living for anymore. This path of self destruction on helps the illness
along because you decide at some point that even taking the medication is not worth it.
When you have already made up your mind that HIV has you, you have already doomed yourself.

When you have been diagnosed HIV+ take the time to let it soak in.
Tell yourself this is just a new journey in my life.
Sure this is not a journey any of us want to take,
but if it happens it happens. Be Positive – HIV+!! Don’t let HIV have you –just have HIV!!
The medications now keep the virus under control while
keeping your immune system in order.
Having a Positive outlook is a much easier path to take than the “DEATH” sentence path.
When you take the “Positive” path you can forgive more,
live more, love more, enjoy life more,
see life in a whole new light. So my friends don’t think of HIV as a
 “DEATH” sentence think of it
as a“NEW LIFE” sentence. This will be a chance for you to be a fighter,
a warrior, a person of valor,
and be the person you have always wanted to be without fear and shame.
Let this be a time in your life for reflection and hope for the future.
LIVE POSITIVE – HIV+, DON’T DIE POSITIVE – HIV+!!!! The choice is yours my friend.
There are plenty of others who have been where you are that are willing to talk and to listen.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!

Here is a link to the United States AIDS Hotline: http://www.thebody.com/index/hotlines/state.html

You can use that link to find phone numbers for the state in which you live inside the USA.
This site also has many resources for those living outside of the United States.

Please remember YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!

Blessings and Light,
