I came across this article by, Christian Churches of God PO Box 369,  WODEN  ACT 2606,  AUSTRALIA (Copyright ã 1994, 1999 Wade Cox), while researching the doctrines of demons and felt it was important and relevant for this time in American History. I have added just a couple of things along the way and they will be highlighted in pink just like this paragraph. I pray that God will allow His Holy Spirit to rest upon each of you reading this and give you the understanding to know the TRUTH about GOD'S Word. Peace, Rainbow Pastor David 

People do not really understand the intent of the development of the doctrines of demons. Paul wrote the Scriptures at the direction of the Holy Spirit so that we would understand what the doctrines of demons were and how they would manifest themselves in the last days. We need to understand that fact.

Paul says in 1Timothy 4:1-5

Now the Spirit expressly (in words ('retoos)) says that in later times some will depart from the faith by giving heed to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, through the pretension of liars whose consciences are seared (perhaps also meaning in the hypocrisy of the false testimony (pseudologoon) which brands the idea on the conscience (kekausteriasmenoon ten idian suneidesin)), who forbid marriage and enjoin abstinence from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving; for then it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

The Holy Spirit was emphatic and stated in words to Paul that in the last days two significant doctrines of demons would emerge that had to be resisted and exposed by the elect who know the truth.

The demons did not decide to introduce these doctrines idly. They are not insignificant. They strike at the very heart of the intent of God in the plan of salvation and the adequacy to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. These doctrines are two specific errors, which seek to undermine the rational intent of the creation.

The first doctrine of demons is the teaching that one should abstain from marriage. The doctrine is of Spiritism, which seeks for spiritual union or affinity. The intent of this doctrine of demons is to strike at the very basis of the teaching unit that God has chosen to deal with as an example of His system. That unit is the family. By destroying the stability of the family, the demons destroy the basic building block of our society.  We are watching this society crumble before our eyes because people are starting to live together outside of marriage. It is fundamental to our understanding and our relationship with Jesus Christ and our worship of God that the family unit is understood. The breakdown of the family and national systems then goes into the perversion of Sodom and Gomorrah. {Remember God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because they had turned their backs on God, worshiped idols, used their bodies for sex in worship of the goddess of fertility, turned  their backs on the poor and helpless and were not hospitable to strangers {Angels of God}. Ezekiel 16:49-50 details the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah: "The sin of your sister Sodom was this: She lived with her daughters in the lap of luxury—proud, gluttonous, and lazy. They ignored the oppressed and the poor. They put on airs and lived obscene lives. And you know what happened: I did away with them."}

The process of this doctrine is accompanied by the idolatry. This is developed by Paul in Romans 1:1-32. These verses relate to the whole question of worship and the cause of adultery in the society. It is the same basis as spiritual adultery in our relationship with God, which is idolatry and witchcraft.

Romans1:1-32:

¹ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God

It is God’s gospel and it was given to Jesus Christ. All of us are set apart for that purpose.

² which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, ³ the gospel concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh ⁴ and designated Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

Christ was a son of God, one of the multiple sons of the Host, before his incarnation. He laid all that aside and became an human being. We cannot say Christ retained any part of himself in the Godhead or outside of himself. Paul quite clearly says here that Christ was designated son of God in power according to the Holy Spirit, by his resurrection from the dead. He laid aside his sonship to become a human in order that he might become the first son of God of the human species. That’s what the intent was. Nothing of Jesus Christ remained outside of his human existence.  That is the doctrine of Antichrist. The doctrine of Antichrist teaches that Christ has some part of himself separate to his entity as a human being and somehow he retained some part of his divinity external to his physical existence. He did not.

⁵ through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations,

The faith was then extended into the nations. It was the structure of the obedience of faith. Our faith is obedience to God and the acknowledgment that only God is True God. Our requirement for the inheriting of eternal life from John 17:3 is the knowledge of the One True God and of his son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is not the One True God. The Bible is emphatic on that. It is quite clear that the obedience of the faith to the One True God, that is God the Father, God Most High, is the requirement for the receipt of the sonship on the redemption of our bodies, from Romans 8:29ff. That includes all who are called to belong to Jesus Christ from verse 6.

 ⁶ including yourselves who are called to belong to Jesus Christ; ⁷ To all God's beloved in Rome, who are called to be saints: grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thus we establish the Godhead in the first seven verses and the understanding of the faith of the One True God, and that Christ laid aside his sonship and became a human and received his sonship again from the redemption of his body at his resurrection. There is no existence of Jesus Christ outside of his humanity until his resurrection. To assert that as a fact denies the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and denies the totality of his resurrection, and is a doctrine of demons. The trinity is itself a doctrine of demons and from it two other doctrines flow.

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world^{. 9} For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I mention you always in my prayers,

There is no doubt in Paul’s mind that he served God in the gospel, in the way it was laid down by his master Jesus Christ. There is no conflict in Paul’s mind about there being two gods or that Christ was true god. None whatsoever.

¹⁰ asking that somehow by God's will I may now at last succeed in coming to you. ¹¹ For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you,

Why did he need to do that? The Church was in Rome, the center of the empire of iron, which followed the bronze empire, which we see symbolized in the statue in Daniel (Dan. 2:1-49). The empire of iron tore down and destroyed everything and its seat was the center of idolatry. The saints there needed strengthening and understanding.

¹² that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine. The weapon of the adversary is discouragement. ¹³ I want you to know, brethren, that I have often intended to come to you (but thus far have been prevented), in order that I may reap some harvest among you as well as among the rest of the Gentiles.

Notice the verses are broken up into sequence. There are seven verses to establish the godhead, then another five. We are dealing with seven and five to twelve. Dealing with the function of the numbers of grace and the spirit. These relate to the parables also. 

¹⁴ I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish: ¹⁵ so I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome. ¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel: it is the power of God for salvation to every one who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. ¹⁷ For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, "He who through faith is righteous shall live." 

Here we see the requirements of faith and the requirements of mutual encouragement and the fact that faith leads to righteousness. However, faith itself does not lead to righteousness. It is faith that God gives, faith that the word of God is true and that God has given His word for the education of the saints. That faith gives us the capacity then to be righteous, through obedience to the law under the grace of Jesus Christ.

¹⁸ For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth.

That text is also translated “withhold the truth in unrighteousness”. The concept Paul is getting at is that people who do not tell the truth, withhold information. Paul is quite clear that whoever withholds the truth in unrighteousness will receive the wrath of heaven. That is a promise God makes through Paul.

¹⁹ For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. ²⁰ Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;

We now turn from the structure of the Godhead (stemming from the One True God) and the faith, to the observation of the Godhead and the proof from the creation. As our knowledge increases, we are now actually demonstrating the existence of God. Evolution is being progressively discarded. It is fundamentally disjointed and dysfunctional. The scientists are putting it into a box of myth. We are finding that the universe shows a power of God. The only thing arguable among the scientists is what the nature of God is.

²¹ for although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. ²² Claiming to be wise, they became fools, ²³ and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles.

That change doesn’t happen as a direct transposition. It is a progressive thing and it took a long while to achieve. They went from the acknowledgment of God as God, and within Christianity they then elevated Jesus Christ to God and began worshiping him. Having done that they then elevated the saints to the same status and began worshiping them. Then finally they began praying to images of Mary and other such idols, losing sight completely of the understanding of resurrection. Mariam, wrongly called Mary, is dead! (cf. the paper The Virgin Mariam and the Family of Jesus Christ (No. 232)).  Mariam, called Mary, will be resurrected along with the rest of the saints in the first resurrection. Jesus Christ is the only person who has been resurrected to heaven (John 3:13).

The consequence then of this idolatry is a progressive deterioration in the thinking of the people involved. Their minds become less and less clear.

²⁴ Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,

This is what happens when we get to the steps in verse 24 and verse 25. Once we get to the deterioration of idolatry, we are given up to unnatural lusts. This then goes into adultery and then into perversions, and it will get worse and worse. People do not understand the sequence of the progression of the deterioration.

The doctrine of demons establishes at the start in the attack of the Godhead and then progresses. Then God gives the people up to their own lusts. We are seeing that now in this society where people became godless, but they did not do it without penalty. Their society broke down. They became fundamentally perverted. The society has to repent of perversion. One has to restore one’s relationship with God to overcome it and we cannot overcome these problems until we acknowledge God and we repent and restore our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. If we worship Jesus Christ we are doing exactly the same thing as if we were worshiping any other one of the Elohim, other than God the Father. We are attributing to Christ the same sin as we attribute to Satan.

^24-25 So God said, in effect, “If that’s what you want, that’s what you get.” It wasn’t long before they were living in a pigpen, smeared with filth, filthy inside and out. And all this because they traded the true God for a fake god, and worshiped the god they made instead of the God who made them—the God we bless, the God who blesses us. Oh, yes!

^26-27 Worse followed. Refusing to know God, they soon didn’t know how to be human either—women didn’t know how to be women, men didn’t know how to be men. Sexually confused, they abused and defiled one another, women with women, men with men—all lust, no love. And then they paid for it, oh, how they paid for it—emptied of God and love, godless and loveless wretches.
²⁸ Since they didn’t bother to acknowledge God, God quit bothering them and let them run loose. 

"What the Evangelical Church has been lying to people about for years is that GOD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality when the truth is GOD destroyed them because they started worshiping IDOLS and FALSE gods they made for themselves. Here again in Romans 1:24-28 we see that because the people chose NOT to follow God but worship FALSE gods, the people used their bodies to worship the false goddess of fertility having sexual relations with each other in an orgy style setting. These men and women were NOT homosexuals they were straight men and women using their bodies to worship their "goddess" instead of trusting God to give them fertility. Once you study the Word of God in both Hebrew and Greek you learn the TRUTH that the AMERICANIZED EVANGELICAL CHURCH twists into lies so they can continue to OPPRESS the people of GOD instead of helping the be FREE from the BURDEN of SIN like the SCRIPTURES tell us."

 

In one sentence it tells us what it is all about. The breach of the understanding of the Godhead results in the perversions and the baseness of this society.

29-31 And then all hell broke loose: rampant evil, grabbing and grasping, vicious backstabbing. They made life hell on earth with their envy, wanton killing, bickering, and cheating. Look at them: mean-spirited, venomous, fork-tongued God-bashers. Bullies, swaggerers, insufferable windbags! They keep inventing new ways of wrecking lives. They ditch their parents when they get in the way. Stupid, slimy, cruel, cold-blooded. {MSG}

All of these things follow from the breaching of our relationship with God. All of these things deal with the relationships to the family unit and to the social unit and they are the end result of the problems of the Godhead.

³² Though they know God's decree that those who do such things deserve to die, they not only do them but approve those who practice them. (RSV)

It is now getting to the stage where people call good bad and bad good. People who denounce these practices are themselves denounced.

We see from this argument that the process of idolatry is developed into that of unnatural lusts. Those processes become full blown as the process degenerates. The doctrine of celibacy of priests is a further adjunct to this decay. Celibacy itself is not the doctrine referred to as a doctrine of demons from 1Timothy 4. Celibacy is just another side issue to this doctrine of demons. It is a function of the doctrine of demons, but the celibacy of priests is not itself the primary doctrine. However, celibacy of priests and monasticism are doctrines of demons.

 Paul says: “ ⁸ Now for those who are not married and for the widows I say this: It is good for you to stay single like me. ⁹ But if you cannot control your body, then you should marry. It is better to marry than to burn with sexual desire. 1 Corinthians 7:8-9" 

 

The fact that it becomes a doctrine requiring abstinence from marriage is itself a doctrine of demons. All are developments of the doctrines of demons.

The Bible is clear that the doctrine is not entirely successful as people are still said to be undertaking marriage at the return of Messiah (Mat. 24:38-39). However, it is a major doctrine that is cause for extreme concern in the last days. Marriage is a holy institution ordained by God to represent the relationship of mankind to Jesus Christ and the unification of the nations under the Father. What this doctrine of demons seeks to do is to destroy the understanding of that process, to impugn God by saying the system He set up is not to be kept and it causes confusion in the society. It throws into utter chaos any concepts of genealogy, of inheritance, of order, and of stability. It creates a complete lack of loyalty and trust of anybody in the mind of the person.

The reason the Spartan society failed is because they dispensed with the family unit. Sparta was a military state. All men were trained for the army. It was the most ruthless military state the world has ever seen. It destroyed itself because it did away with the family unit.

The next process is that of the doctrine of the abstaining from meats that were created to be received with thanksgiving. Those meats are clearly identified by the Bible in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.

This process of purification is older than Christianity. It was part of the Pythagorean system of the Greeks and is evident in Buddhism. The process is now termed vegetarianism (see the paper Vegetarianism and the Bible (No.183)).

This process is deficient in essential nutrients for the proper activity of the brain. Be that as it may, the doctrine strikes at the very system that God set up from the beginning with Adam. It is clearly noted there that Cain was a tiller of the soil and that Abel was a pastoralist. Abel's offering was more acceptable to God than Cain's offering. That is the reason for Cain's wrath and the reason why he killed Abel (Gen. 4:1-16).

The intent of this selective approval is to point to the sacrifice of Messiah. The whole pastoral system was set up reflecting the blood sacrifice of Messiah and reflecting the structure of the foods that were meant to be taken and eaten. The process of vegetarianism calls into question the veracity and wisdom of the process of salvation and the entire system of Temple sacrifice and expiation set up by God. What it effectively says to God is: “You got it wrong, you are cruel. The requirement for a blood sacrifice is unnecessary.” Or,  “We deny that it is necessary to eat meat or that it is even good for us to eat meat. In other words God, “You got the whole structure wrong and we cannot reach the perfection of the plan of salvation following your rules.” That’s what vegetarianism imputes to God.

A vegetarian sets himself up as judge of God, denies the totality of the system of the food laws and denies the wisdom of the creation and the capacity of the human body to exercise and deal with the foods that are given to be received with thanksgiving. It says that God did not understand the structure and that the body will in fact break down following the rules of God. The arguments put forward are completely fallacious. It seeks to undermine the restoration of the last days and calls into question the ability of Messiah to institute just systems. The prophecies are clear that Messiah will establish a system and there will be meat eaten in the Millennium, and the restoration will take place, and that Messiah will restore the sacrifice. All of this doctrine calls into question the activities and the wisdom of Messiah and the plan of God. It accuses both God and Messiah and is totally anti-Christian.

The question of the ability to eat all kinds of meats from the Bible texts is incorrect. Acts 10 and 11 show the cleansing of the Gentiles for acceptance into the Kingdom of God. The text has nothing to do with food as is plainly evident from Acts 11. It is quite clear the vision given to Peter cleansed the gentiles and not the food. The whole question of the acceptability of food revolved around the fact that a great deal of meat was sacrificed to idols before it was sold or eaten. The Bible injunctions were made so that the elect could eat meat without worrying as to whether or not it had been sacrificed to a deity.

Romans 14:1-4 As for the man who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not for disputes over opinions. ² One believes he may eat anything, while the weak man eats only vegetables. ³ Let not him who eats despise him who abstains, and let not him who abstains pass judgment on him who eats; for God has welcomed him. ⁴ Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Master is able to make him stand. (RSV)

Now this text does not specifically refer to the weakness of vegetarianism. The Bible labels vegetarianism specifically as a doctrine of demons. What this text refers to is the fact that the weakness comes not from the consumption of the vegetables but from the fact that the member had insufficient faith not to be excessively concerned as to whether or not the meat had been sacrificed to idols.

Thus the intent is that the meat is to be consumed with thanksgiving within the regulations laid down by the food laws. The procedures adopted by Judaism in the sacrifices and the butchering process were not laid on the Gentiles. Paul laid the simple statement on them to abstain from blood and that which is strangled or sacrificed to idols (Acts 15:20,29; 21:25). Thus we are dealing with two concepts concerning the consumption of meat sacrificed to idols. If it is known, and a matter of public concern and likely to cause stumbling of the brethren or to be seen as endorsement of a pagan religious practice, then it is to be rejected and abstention is required. If it is uncertain as to the process, it is to be regarded as irrelevant and of no significance. The food is to be eaten in faith for, if it is not eaten in faith, then the adherent is condemned.

Thus vegetarianism is seen as weakness in the question of the selection of food involving meats within a pagan system. It is, on the other hand, a clear doctrine of demons when it is preached as abstinence for purity or biblical or health reasons. The assertion that God did not institute a process of meat consumption from the beginning, and continue that process over through the flood, is biblical error or heresy (Gen. 7:2). The assertion that God would institute an unhealthy system is again an imputation against His nature.

As a TRUE BELIEVER in JESUS CHRIST and FOLLOWER of HIS, NOT "AMERICANIZED CHRISTIANITY", I absolutely agree with Matt Young on the {CONFESSION}. What our country's founders did in the name of GOD is horrific. What we as a nation has done to the rest of the world since 9/11 is horrific. What the leaders of our country today are doing to destroy the people of America is horrific. For these things I too am very sorry and pray God's Will be done on EARTH {especially in AMERICA} as it is in HEAVEN.  

 

"AMERICANIZED CHRISTIANITY" has become the most disgusting RELIGIOUS Organization's in the WORLD, much like the rest of the world's ISIS ORGANIZATION. Americanized Christianity is full of HATE for others who do not fit their "STANDARD" and persecute them with HATEFUL words and actions, being just one step away from being ISIS, that could very well come to pass under the current administration of DEMON POSSESSED men and women. Everyone who turns its back on the "AMERICANIZED CHRISTIANITY" to follow the TRUE TEACHINGS of the WORD of GOD are considered heretics or outcasts teaching a false religion when in FACT they are SEEKING THE TRUTH of GODS WORD instead of the LIES that have PLAGUED AMERICAN CHRISTIANITY for YEARS. I am implore you as a fellow believer in the teachings of JESUS CHRIST to REJECT the LIES from the pulpits of "AMERICANIZED CHRISTIANITY" and seek the HOLY SPIRITS direction in leading you into the FULL TRUTH of the GOOD NEWS of the WORD OF GOD. Jesus taught us to love one another, forgive one another and help one another. "AMERICANIZED CHRISTIANITY" teaches just the opposite and has become the "RELIGION" the tickles the ears of its followers just like the WORD of GOD said would happen in the end times. 2 Timothy 4:3-5, "You’re going to find that there will be times when people will have no stomach for solid teaching, but will fill up on spiritual junk food—catchy opinions that tickle their fancy. They’ll turn their backs on truth and chase mirages. But you—keep your eye on what you’re doing; accept the hard times along with the good; keep the Message alive; do a thorough job as God’s servant."

A couple of weeks ago Joel McKerrow shared an amazing post , “For the Christian part of me…I am sorry“. It is one part of a four-part artistic video series in which Joel confesses to the world for the historical, current,  and stereotypical Christian, male, white, and rich parts of him. I very highly recommend checking them out. It is a very inspiring and honest evaluation of the place that the religion of Christendom has led us to today.

Today I would like to stand with Joel. I want to confess not only for the four areas that he did, but more specifically for the heritage that has influenced me the most…

the American part of me.

To start I want to say that I believe America has and still does many good things for its citizens, and others around the world. I am not confessing and saying sorry for those parts, but wish to distance myself from the negative aspects of my nation’s heritage and current actions. I know I won’t be able to mention all of them, but would like to point out the things I wish to renounce in my American heritage.

Let’s begin with, well….the beginning of America. For mainly political reasons (spiritual reasons were used as well) the British colonies in America decided to revolt against England, leading to the bloody Revolutionary War. Instead of following in the way of Jesus (paying taxes, honoring the king, obeying the ruling authorities), our nation’s founding fathers decided to forcefully and violently free themselves from ties with England. For this,  I am sorry.

Looking forward to the newly formed nation, we find another very often overlooked and downplayed aspect of our heritage: the greed-filled stealing of the Native Americans land, resources, and way of life. Instead of “living at peace with all men”, our young nation (very often touting OT violent nation of Israel conquering passages) stole from, deported, and murdered MILLIONS of our lands original inhabitants. To the ORIGINAL Americans I would like to say… I am sorry.

For the sake of time I will limit this already limited confession to a final topic. Let us fast-forward 200 years to the present. This final point is the closest to my heart and has impacted my life the most as I am currently living through it. I want to confess for our current “war on terrorism”. I am fully aware that what happened on 9/11 was a terrible, grievous act. Words cannot describe how evil, wrong, and the amount of pain was caused by the acts of a few men on that day. The acts of those few men claimed the lives of almost 3, 000 innocent humans. Men, women, and children had their lives cut short. Many thousands more will forever live without those loved ones. For this, my country(including myself) was very angry. Thoughts of vengeance filled our thoughts and minds. However, instead of responding in the way Jesus calls us to, (by loving our enemies, doing good to those that harm us..etc) America launched what has now become the second longest war in our history. We have sought vengeance and justice against our enemies instead of giving love and mercy. 

 Now, I understand that America, as a kingdom of this world, would respond in worldly fashion. However, as so many other times in our history, those of us who follow Jesus should have been living out his call to NOT RESIST evil, to turn the other cheek, to love and serve rather than seek vengeance and domination. Earlier this week, CNN posted an article on the hundreds of innocent civilians our nation has slain over these last 12 years (more specifically those killed in our allied nation of Pakistan , whom we are NOT at war with). Oh how far we have come from the message and call of Jesus. How sad that we let this cycle of vengeance begin in the first place, let alone overlook the thousands of innocent civilians we have wiped out in our destructive path. To my fellow human beings around the world who have fallen under the sword of this place I call home, to the thousands of grieving family members of the innocents slain, to those in whose countries we now occupy. I would like to humbly, in the name of peace and my lord Jesus,  who’s example I wish to follow, say one last time…. I am sorry.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a 25-page memo guiding federal agencies on religious liberty issues. It was an early Christmas present to the Religious Right, since Sessions basically put Christian bigotry over LGBTQ rights and highlighted religious exemptions for all sorts of events.

It’s a memo written on the assumption that Christians are the most persecuted group in America.

“This guidance is designed to do one thing — create a license to discriminate against the LGBTQ community and others, sanctioned by the federal government and paid for by taxpayers,” Vanita Gupta, who led the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division during the Obama administration, said in a statement. Chad Griffin, the president of the Human Rights Campaign, accused Trump of furthering a “cynical and hateful agenda” and said the memo “will enable systematic, government-wide discrimination that will have a devastating impact on LGBTQ people and their families.”

The GOP is overrun by conservative Christians who can’t see past their own desires, have no obligation to help other people, who routinely set aside their own supposed values if it works out for them in the long run, and who don’t understand that they’re the ones ruining other people’s lives instead of the other way around. Every time you vote for a Republican, this is what you’re getting.

The people who whine about impending Sharia law have no problem imposing their own religious beliefs upon everybody else.

It has become increasingly evident that this current Administration, Attorney General, Congress and Judicial system believe they are above the established laws/BILL of RIGHTS of ALL PEOPLE of the USA. Apparently they NO LONGER believe this:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

When you read this 25 page memo you will see that our GOVERNMENT is working towards a DICTATORSHIP ran by THEOCRATIC GOVERNMENT.  Currently in our world there are 7 countries being run by a Theocratic Government all of them are constantly at war, the people are oppressed and have NO FREEDOMS. As AMERICAN'S we have to STAND AGAINST these EVIL MEN and WOMEN in WASHINGTON that ARE WORKING TO TAKE AWAY our FREEDOMS and RIGHTS lain out by our founding fathers.

These recognized sovereign states are ruled by people and/or laws considered to have divine authority.

Here is a list of those with their religious beliefs imposed upon their people:

 1. Afghanistan

Afghanistan is an Islamic state with a theocratic government. Here, Islam is the official religion of the country, with the major foundations of the political institution of Afghanistan being based on Islamic sharia law. The ultimate aim of the country’s fundamentalist regime is to unify the Afghani people under a common religious law. Political control lies almost exclusively in the hands of the religious leaders of the fundamentalist regime.

2. Iran

The Islamic Republic of Iran is a revolutionary theocratic state. Here, the constitution denotes that the ruler of the state is best qualified to interpret Islam and ensure that the people of the state strictly adhere to the principles of the Shia Islamic religious practices. Prior to the formation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the country was ruled by the Shah (monarch), Muhammad Reza Pahlavi, who was well-known for his secular attitudes. In 1979, following a revolution, the Shah was overthrown from his position by the Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. As the leader of the revolution, Khomeini then became the leader of Iran’s new Islamic State. He implemented an orthodox rule in the country based on traditional Islamic beliefs. Today, that role is held by Ali Khamenei.

3.Mauritania

Mauritania, a small country in the Maghreb region of western North Africa, is an Islamic republic with a theocratic government. The legal system of the country is based on sharia law, and most of its national symbols, including the national flag, symbolize Islam. Before 1960, Mauritania did not exist as a separate political entity, but emerged as one after its creation following the departure of the Colonial French government. Mauritania came into existences in association with tradityional Arab-Berber theocratic practices. Even though in its initial days the country had a Western-styled government structure and a relatively liberal disposition, situations changed in the 1980s. At that time, Colonel Mohammed Khouna Ould Heydallah, the military head of the country, enhanced the country’s orientation towards sharia law, with the introduction of strict Islamic jurisprudence governing the country.

4. Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia, an Islamic theocratic monarchy, has one of the most tightly controlled governments in the world. The country is also home to two of Islam’s most holy sites, the cities of Mecca and Medina. Since 1932, the land has been ruled exclusively by the House of Saud, and the legislation of this country is firmly rooted in sharia law. The Holy Quran and the Sunni School of Islam even serve as the country’s constitution. Although law does not directly forbid other religions to be practiced in the country, in real situational practice, the practice of religions other than Islam is abhorred by the Saudis' Islamic-dominant society. Anyone in the country caught in an attempt to insult Islam or promoting any other faith there is subjected to strict punishment, which may go as far as death.

5. Sudan

In Sudan, the theocratic rule of the Sudanese Government, and the establishment of a legal system based on Islamic laws, are primarily used as tools by the country’s leaders to manipulate and conform the Muslim population of the country, which forms about 97% of the total population. Even though the constitution of the country mentions the sharia-derived laws, it also leaves space for a more liberal attitude towards people of other beliefs than Islam. This allows the Government punish anyone when deemed necessary as per the dictates of the sharia law, while at the same time protecting itself from allegations of religious intolerance.

6. Vatican

Though all the other discussed countries are ruled in some form by a theocratic Islamic Government, the Vatican City is the only country in the world with an absolute theocratic elective monarchy that is guided by the principles of a Christian religious school of thought. The Pope is the supreme power in the country, and leads the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the Vatican government. This is also perhaps the only monarchy in the world that is non-hereditary in nature.

7. Yemen

Yemen, like most of the other mentioned countries, is also based on theocratic governance with Islamic sharia law dictating the executive, legislativ, and judicial branches of the government. Recently, Yemen has also been going through a period of intense political turmoil, wherein conflicts between several different political groups have led to a civil war type of situation in the country. The main forces in the fight involve the Zaidi Shia rebels (or Houthis) against the loyalists of the displaced President of Yemen, Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.

AMERICA does NOT need to follow in the footsteps of these countries that keep their people oppressed!!! WE the PEOPLE need to make sure the current ADMINISTRATION does NOT VIOLATE our BILL OF RIGHTS!!!

Yesterday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a 25-page memo guiding federal agencies on religious liberty issues. It was an early Christmas present to the Religious Right, since Sessions basically put Christian bigotry over LGBTQ rights and highlighted religious exemptions for all sorts of events.

It’s a memo written on the assumption that Christians are the most persecuted group in America.

“This guidance is designed to do one thing — create a license to discriminate against the LGBTQ community and others, sanctioned by the federal government and paid for by taxpayers,” Vanita Gupta, who led the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division during the Obama administration, said in a statement. Chad Griffin, the president of the Human Rights Campaign, accused Trump of furthering a “cynical and hateful agenda” and said the memo “will enable systematic, government-wide discrimination that will have a devastating impact on LGBTQ people and their families.”

This memo came the same day that the Department of Health and Human Services allowed corporate executives to deny birth control and other forms of health care to employees.

It’s not surprising that Sessions would issue anti-LGBTQ directives. Just about any Republican administration, given today’s GOP, would have done the same thing. What’s especially disturbing about this situation, though, is who Sessions spoke with before releasing the memo:

In a call with reporters, [Alliance Defending Freedom] CEO Michael Farris confirmed to ABC News that Sessions met with the group during a series of so-called “listening sessions” convened by the Attorney General, who says he was “seeking suggestions regarding the areas of federal protection for religious liberty most in need of clarification or guidance.”

Sessions met with a Religious Right group — designated as a “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which means less than it used to, but shouldn’t be discounted — to get advice on how Christians are threatened. And then he took it. He didn’t ask different groups for advice. He certainly didn’t ask liberal-leaning groups for how they’re being oppressed. He didn’t go to experts. He just signed off on whatever the ADF wanted.

This is why voting for today’s Republican Party if you’re an atheist makes so little sense to me, even if you agree with traditional conservative principles. The GOP is overrun by conservative Christians who can’t see past their own desires, have no obligation to help other people, who routinely set aside their own supposed values if it works out for them in the long run, and who don’t understand that they’re the ones ruining other people’s lives instead of the other way around. Every time you vote for a Republican, this is what you’re getting.

The people who whine about impending Sharia law have no problem imposing their own religious beliefs upon everybody else.

On September 13th, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) stood surrounded by a number of his Senate colleagues to unveil the Medicare for All Act, or the Universal Medicare Program as it’s called in Title I, S. 1804. Never mind that most of those Democrats had fallen all over themselves to surf the wave of the people’s vociferous demand for single-payer healthcare instead of getting wiped out by it. But the purpose of this blog is to examine and assess the actual legislation, so on to it.

Simple facts first – if you are an H.R. 676 (the Expanded & Improved Medicare for All Act) purist, you will not be satisfied with this bill. If you are an Affordable Care Act (ACA) apologist, you should like it since it addresses most of the abject failures and hard lessons of the ACA. And if you’re living with a chronic, sometimes fatal disease, terrified of losing your Medicaid or unaffordable ACA insurance, not to mention having to deal with worsening illness as medications become harder to come by if you haven’t won the lottery lately, the text of the bill will give you renewed hope that you might actually live long enough to see the end of Trump!

The bill is NOT perfect, but it is a long way ahead of Clintonesque incrementalism and far closer to the gold standard of H.R. 676 than any Senate Democratic effort to date. There is cautious optimism within the single-payer activism community. We’ve seen what the legislative process can do to a good bill and won’t breathe easy until it’s not just passed, but implemented, but we are, to varying degrees, behind it.

What it does

Let’s start with what it achieves. “Every individual who is a resident of the United States is entitled to benefits for health care services under this Act.” Note “residents,” not “citizens” (though the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has the power to determine the meaning of “resident”). Of course, Republicans will blast this with a “they take our jobs; now they’ll take our health care!” argument, one we should not be polite about debunking. And we should be prepared for losing it if by changing to “citizens” we get the Republican votes to pass it. Remember, if we do our jobs in 2018, there will be a Democratic Senate and amendments can be made.

Like H.R. 676, it also includes in Section 201 its list of benefits which are more comprehensive than the ACA, including dental, vision, and hearing. It also states in Sec 201(a)(4), “Prescription drugs, medical devices, biological products, including outpatient prescription drugs, medical devices, and biological products.” More about this later.

Specific language protecting reproductive rights, both in the non-discrimination Section 104 and the Sec. 201(a) list of benefits-- “RESTRICTIONS SHALL NOT APPLY. Any other provision of law in effect on the date of enactment of this Act restricting the use of Federal funds for any reproductive health service shall not apply.” Further, the bill would forbid discriminating against an eligible provider on the grounds that they provides abortion. This may set off a Republican push to refocus repeal efforts on Roe v. Wade, but I say it’s well past time for progressives to reach out to Libertarians and join forces to put our collective foot down and say, “NO MORE!” to the anti-choice zealots! Why have we allowed them to dictate their ideological public policy over established law anyway? Another issue we can’t afford to be courteous about.

Speaking of choice, S. 1804, like H.R. 676, will give us the freedom to choose our doctors, other providers, and facilities with no concern about networks or referrals that need “prior approval.” That truly is choice, contrary to the mythical choice Republicans have claimed their draconian repeal-and-replace efforts would include.

Another major single-payer goal is included in the provision that the system will be publicly funded through a variety of options, including a modest tax increase and the elimination of “escape hatches” for the wealthy and corporations to avoid paying anywhere near their fair share. This will be done via the establishment of the Universal Medicare Trust Fund where money from now obsolete healthcare programs (Medicare, the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program, TRICARE, etc.), the tax increases, fees, gifts, and bequests will be deposited and expenses paid.

For the howlers who accuse Bernie of handing out herds of fantasy “ponies” with no plan on how to pay for them, all they have to do is read his 5-page paper Options to Finance Medicare for All (available at https://www.sanders.senate.gov/download/options-to-finance-medicare-for-all) to see that he has thought, researched, and consulted about how to finance his plan and found many ways to do it fairly, though politicians of either party won’t like it because it will require them to pay more while we worthless, lazy “takers” out here will finally catch a break.

For those who worry about the current employees of the insurance industry, first, insurance will still exist so not all jobs will be lost. Then Section 601(4) provides 1% of the entire healthcare budget for up to five years from when benefits become available for programs “providing assistance to workers who perform functions in the health insurance system and who may experience economic dislocation as a result of the implementation of the Act.”

A few other goodies:

• Section 802 provides for repeal of COBRA continuation coverage requirements under ERISA
• Continuity of care is a priority in every section dealing with actual care, treatment, benefits during transition, etc.
• Section 901(2) provides that no reevaluation of the Indian Health Service shall be done without consultation with tribal leaders and stakeholders
• Section 1014 eliminates the 24-month waiting period for Medicare coverage for disabled individuals. 

What it doesn’t do

There are several major problems with the bill, the first of which is that long-term care is not covered under S. 1804 like it is in H.R. 676. Here, it would be covered by Medicaid, thus keeping Medicaid operating instead of returning the money spent there to the healthcare trust, as well as perpetuating the trap of people, especially families, having to live in poverty in order to qualify for Medicaid. This will be one provision that activists will focus on.

The contradiction of prescription drugs being covered as per the list of benefits is confusing when, in Section 202 “No Cost-Sharing,” there’s an exception for which “the Secretary may set a cost-sharing schedule for prescription drugs and biological products, provided that (i) such schedule is evidence-based and encourages the use of generic drugs; (ii) such cost-sharing does not apply to preventative drugs; and (iii) such cost-sharing does not exceed $200 annually per individual adjusted annually for inflation.”

Much is being made of drugs not being covered, but perhaps we should take a breath and put some hope in that little word “may” – the Secretary may set a cost-sharing schedule…but he or she doesn’t have to. Of course one like Price would, but once again, if we elect a president with a progressive agenda, his or her Cabinet would be less likely to include a Secretary of Health & Human Services who would want to bring back cost-sharing.

It also allows for investor-owned, profit-driven facilities such as MRI and imaging clinics, labs, and rehab facilities to continue to operate and to increase profits for their investors by raising prices, performing unnecessary and/or excessive testing and procedures, and generally propping up the idea of healthcare as a commodity.

Perhaps worst of all, considering what we’ve learned with the ACA, is the four-year time period set for full implementation. Historically, both here with Medicare and abroad with different countries’ universal systems, implementation has been done all at once without today’s technology (within a year usually). Phasing it in over four years only eats up cost savings we’ll need to help fund it, as well as preventing early proof of efficacy. It also provides time for things to go wrong or to be sabotaged, giving the long knives of the opposition’s propaganda an opportunity to carve it up as they have the ACA.

Pages 65 through 95 are devoted to the transition period between passage of the law and full implementation. The Medicare buy-in concept is proposed as the appropriate way to shift from the mess we have now to the Universal Medicare Program – acronym UMP which is exactly what we’ll need to get through the “game” of this extra four years of complication. I don’t know what exactly Bernie’s strategy was in devising this, but I do trust that he has one and knowing him, it involves foresight, a rare and exotic asset in a politician, but one he has boatloads of.

Conclusion

I don’t know that I and Demand Universal Healthcare have reached a final conclusion on S. 1804. We, too, are cautiously optimistic and it’s easy to see the immediate relief and hope this would bring to the millions of people who right now are desperately trying to stay alive and well despite what feels like a deliberately punitive obstacle course of barriers set up by people who have not yet been in the shoes of the sick or the impoverished.

For the HIV/AIDS community, this could bring a whole new color to the tapestry of living with HIV and all that comes with it, physically, mentally, emotionally, financially, and socially. The lofty goals of the National Strategy could finally be realized as “test and treat” became the normal, easy course of events. The great work of the ADAP Advocacy Association could continue in efforts to make access to all drugs, brand names included, a priority as more new drugs come down the pipeline and generics become ineffective compared to the new ones.

I have always been a realist. I never wanted a pony and I don’t now. The Right is offering us a dark horse that will eat everything in sight and then kick down the barn and I’m certainly not buying that. Bernie isn’t Merlin and yet he holds at least this idea that could become magic. And I’m willing to work to see that it gets a chance.
