Let me just preface this article with a few words from my heart and the heart of God. First off this breaks my heart into a million pieces. Parents who are the living examples of how to behave in society are the reason so many LGBTQI+ YOUTH are committing SUICIDE. Before you get all offensive listen to me. If YOU are filled with HATE towards a group of people, like the LGBTQI+ Community, YOUR CHILD PICKS UP ON THAT and carries it on. YOUR children will become walking and talking mini you's until they are taught differently. The children that told this young man to KILL HIMSELF are reflecting what they have heard their parents say. I am ashamed of parents who let teach their children it is okay to HATE other's who are not like you.

God's heart is always and forever for the children, who are innocent and impressionable. It says in His Word:

"Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], Even when he is old he will not depart from it."  Proverbs 22:6

But He {JESUS} said, “Leave the children alone, and do not forbid them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Children, obey your parents in the Lord [that is, accept their guidance and discipline as His representatives], for this is right [for obedience teaches wisdom and self-discipline]. Honor [esteem, value as precious] your father and your mother [and be respectful to them]—this is the first commandment with a promise — so that it may be well with you, and that you may have a long life on Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to the point of resentment with demands that are trivial or unreasonable or humiliating or abusive; nor by showing favoritism or indifference to any of them], but bring them up [tenderly, with lovingkindness] in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:1-4

Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; The rod of discipline [correction administered with godly wisdom and lovingkindness] will remove it far from him. Proverbs 22:15

Discipline your children, and they will give you peace;
    they will bring you the delights you desire. Proverbs 29:17

All throughout the Word of God you will find scriptures about taking care and teaching the children.

A Colorado mother is sharing the story of her 9-year-old son who died by suicide Thursday, just days after coming out to his classmates, Denver's Fox affiliate reports.

Leia Pierce says her son, Jamel Myles, announced he was gay this summer. Pierce said the 9-year-old was terrified, but she reassured her son she still loved him. Myles also expressed an interest in dressing in a more feminine manner when he entered fourth grade in the fall.

Less than a week after he started school and came out to his peers, Myles was dead.

"Four days is all it took at school," Pierce told the TV station. "I could just imagine what they said to him. My son told my oldest daughter the kids at school told him to kill himself. I'm just sad he didn't come to me. ... I'm so upset that he thought that was his option."

Pierce wants schools to take more action against bullying, and she believes parents should be held responsible if their children torment other students.

Denver Public Schools is providing social workers and a "crisis team" to aid students affected by Myles's death. The Denver Police Department is also investigating the case.
