🏳️‍🌈✝️🔻 My Continued Journey Living with HIV and the things it is doing to my body

I went to the Nephrologist {kidney specialist} today. I am going to have several tests done in the next few months.

He did confirm today that I do indeed have Nephrotoxic acute renal failure and chronic renal tubular acidosis.  Also Chronic HIV infection and Chronic Diabetes 2.

I am no longer allowed to take Metformin or Amlodipine, so I have to have a conversation with my Heart Doctor about different medications.

He will be speaking with my HIV Specialist about changing my medication once again. He no longer wants me taking medication with tenofovir in it. That does include both TDF and TAF.

He said both versions cause kidney and adrenal disease.

I will be having blood work and urine analysis next week to show the Doctor the damage that has been done from taking TDF and now TAF for the past 9 years.

Once again God has lead me to a Doctor that is very concerned with what is happening inside my body.

Looks like it is time for David to start researching the available HIV medications that will not keep damaging my kidneys.

This is just another step in my continued journey living with HIV.

Keeping me in your thoughts and prayers please. I know we serve a God who is bigger than any disease's.

Blessings and Peace,
