Only 23% of sexually active high school students have been
tested for HIV, and about 50% of young people living with HIV have not
been diagnosed. It's time to prioritize young people in the response to
HIV.
Today we highlight the work of Thomas Davis, an incredible millennial
advocate living with HIV. A dancer, Thomas works with the Catharsis
Project to raise awareness and provide support to people living with or
affected by HIV through dance and other multimedia.
"On this National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NYHAAD), I want young people to know that HIV does not discriminate and that we are privileged to live in a time where there are so many ways to prevent AND treat HIV," Thomas explains. Read the full interview here.
